The Enchanting Spring Rain.

There is something enchanting about a walk in the woods during a spring time rain. It’s a different kind of stillness - the wet leaves serving to dampen the sound. There is a reason so many sound effects use rain as a type of white noise, the repeated sound of the drip and drizzle making a calming effect. The animals are quiet and calm. Only the occasional call of a red wing black bird breaking the silence or with the … scuttle of a squirrel. I love watching the clear raindrops hang from bare branches. Washing away the winter before they even set bud. Similar to a slash of cold water to the face to start your day.

I am excitedly reading a new book “Life in Five Senses.” by Gretchen Rubin. She is a favorite of mine and this book is so much of the life I want to embody! “How exploring the five senses got me out of my head and into the world!” the catch phrase for this book and the reason I started True Blue Flower Co! Looking forward to reading it while basking in Spring time sunshine surrounded by the sights and sounds of the Minnesota woods! I don’t make time for many books at this point in my life but this is one I’ll be deliberate about. Gretchen has a few other good books and an upbeat little podcast if your are looking for some more positive content. Her books can be found at Gretchen Rubin.com and below is one of her podcasts!
