The Gifts of a Garden in Spring.

A lot of focus is put on the end result of gardening - what you harvest at the end of the season. What do you have to show for your days spent growing. For me the reason I garden is for what it does for my soul in the earliest part of spring. When the days shift back and forth from sunshine to snow. I can drift into dreams of what I might grow. I can spend afternoons meticulously planting little seeds. They take my mind away from wishing on warmer weather to the present where I check in daily to see how they have grown. So even if July comes and the weeds overtake I know the garden was still worth it for what it provided me on those early April days.
